Iphoneography Photography (Grades 5th-8th)

June 10th-11th; Join us June 10th and 11th from 8:30-11:30am to unlock the power of your smartphone camera with our two-day Iphoneography workshop led by acclaimed local photographer Julia Cook!

From mastering composition to understanding lighting and color, Julia will guide you through every step to elevate your smartphone photography skills. Whether you are a beginner or an enthusiast, this workshop promises to enrich your creative vision and help you capture stunning moments with your smartphone.

 

 

MuseSTEM (3rd-5th Grade)

June 17-20; Currently enrolled 3rd-5th graders (8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.) With a new theme every year, students will be challenged each day to solve problems and complete tasks. The activities will help students learn about the museum in a whole new way using Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. $50/student, $40/member.

 

 

 

 

 

Nature's Canvas (3rd-5th Grade)

Attention young nature enthusiast: Join us for an unforgettable journey where students will learn to observe sketch, and document the beauty of our great outdoors Get ready to discover and embrace the natural wonders through the art of nature journaling!

Sensory Adventure with Smell and Sight (Ages 4-5)

July 12; Ages 4-5 (10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.)

Focusing on our senses of smell and sight, we will explore natural world around us. With active play and lots of games, students will start to appreciate the smells and colors all around. Fee $10/session

 

Little Aspiring Artists (Ages 4-5)

July 16, 17, 18 Ages 4-5 (10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.)

This preschool class is designed to engage and inspire young minds with art... outside. Activities will foster creativity with color, shapes, and textures. Active play will be incorporated into every lesson. Instructor Sarah Shearer. $30/student; $25/member

 

Scats and Tracks (k-2nd Grade)

July 16th-18th; K-2nd Grade

What's that smell? Oh, it is just our poopologist preparing to take k-2nd graders on an interesting and exciting journey involoving animal scats and tracks! I promise this one is going to be super stinkin' fun!

Focusing on our sense of hearing, we will explore natural world around us. With active play and lots of games, students will start to appreciate the sounds of nature. Fee $10/session

July 22-July 25; Currently enrolled K-2 graders; (9:00-10:30 a.m.)

Instructor Sarah Shearer will lead students in a art journey using a variety of materials through a variety of projects. Focusing on the building blocks of art and design, these art classes are a whole lot of creativity combined with a whole lot of fun. $40/student; $35/member

Focusing on our sense of touch, we will explore natural world around us. With active play and lots of games, students will start to appreciate the textures inside and outside the museum. $10/session

 

 

The Art of Angling (4th-8th Grade)

July 29- Aug 1; 4th - 8th Grade

Join us July 29-August 1st, where we will be exploring the ecosystem of trout, mastering knots and casting techniques, trying our hands at fly tying, and embracing the ethics of responsible fishing. through interactive demonstrations and guided sessions, students will acquire the skills and knowledge to be proficient anglers. From reading the water to selecting the correct fly, and possibly even catching a trout, this program will give you the basics to get on the water. Get ready to reel in the excitment this summer!

Birds, Bats, and Bugs (K-2nd Grade)

July 30-Aug 1; K-2nd Grade

Calling all young explorers from Kindergarten to 2nd grade to join us for an unforgettable journey with Birds, Bats, and Bugs. Through a variety of activities, students will uncover the secrets of these crazy creatures. Students will learn about their habitats, behaviors, and the importance in our ecosystem. Get ready to spread your wings as we dive into the world of Birds, Bats, and Bugs!
