This Vault Expedition takes guests through multiple restricted-access areas spaces few ever see where history rests behind secured doors and preservation walls.

Your journey begins inside the Cody Firearms Museum, where your guide points out remarkable artifacts and hidden stories as the group moves towards the Bruce J. Levin Research Room, where guests can get hands-on with select artifacts before making their way through secure corridors to enter the Cody Firearms Museum Vault, home to rare firearms and collection pieces not currently on public display. Next, continue your journey into theMcCracken Research Library Archival Vaults, where the original Winchester Repeating Arms Company records and factory blueprints reveal stories of innovation, craftsmanship, and the individuals who shaped the American West.

Each tour is led by knowledgeable guides and curatorial staff who tailor the experience to your group's interests. Group size is limited, creating an intimate, insider experience few get to enjoy. Guests will have opportunities for close-up viewing, artifact insights, and a rare look into how the Center of the West preserves its vast collections for future generations.

$250/person, 6 person maximum

Duration: approximately 90 minutes

Includes access to three restricted areas: Cody Firearms Museum Vault, McCracken Research Library Archival Vault, and Levin Research Room

Group size is limited for security and preservation purposes 

All vault protocols and firearm handling procedures will be followed in compliance with CFM and Center policies

A copy of guests ID's and waivers will be required for vault experiences

Cameras, cell phones, large bags and jackets will not be allowed in the vaults
