Museum Admission

Purchasing a general admission ticket gives you entry to all five of the Center's museums for just one price, as well as current special exhibitions and programs specified as "included in regular admission." Tickets are good for two consecutive days.

Buffet Dinner + Dan Miller's Cowboy Music Revue + Museum Admission ($56)

This combination ticket includes a buffet dinner (5:30-6:30 p.m.) and Dan Miller's Cowboy Music Revue (6:30-7:45 p.m.) as well as admission to the five museums of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West (which is good for two consecutive days, one of which must be the day of the dinner show).

Art Camp morning session ages 10-12

June 7-9. Ages 10-12. 9:00-12:00 Wyoming artist, Michele Farrier returns to Cody to instruct budding artists on their journey through the creative process. This year’s class will accommodate slightly older students than in year’s past. $40/student; $30/member (scholarships available). Plains Indian Arrows Workshop

June 23-25:Ages 15+. 8:30-11:30 each day. Learn about the use of the bow and arrow on the Northern Plains, including shooting styles, basic construction, and cultural importance. In this workshop, Nakoda (Assiniboine) educator and craftsman Ernest Gendron will guide visitors in the step-by-step process of crafting arrows. Participants will come away with their own arrows, and the knowledge to craft more. $70/member, $75/non-member.

 

Plains Indian Games Session I

 

June 29: Ages 9-11. 9:00 am- 11:00 pm. Kids can enjoy games and toys that young Native Americans have enjoyed for centuries. Games of skill were used to prepare children for adulthood, and other activities were merely for fun! Participants will learn from Nakoda (Assiniboine) educator and craftsman Ernest Gendron, and will be playing these games all summer long. $10/member, $12/non-member

 

Teton Adventure Discovery Field Trip

July 11-July 13, 2017: Middle school students will explore the shores and islands of Jackson Lake and the geology of the Teton Mountain Range as we canoe and camp in Grand Teton National Park. Open to students ages 11-15. Advanced registration is required. Students will depart at 8:30 am on July 11 and return at 4:30 pm on July 13. Fee $85/student, $75/member (scholarships available).

 

 

Little Aspiring Artists

July 24, 26, 28. Ages 3-5. (M, W, F-- 9:00-10:30 am). This preschool class is designed to engage and inspire young minds with art. Activities will foster creativity with color, shapes, and textures. Active play will be incorporated into every lesson. Instructor Sarah Shearer. $25/student, $20/non-member (scholarships available- contact Emily Buckles at emilyb@centerofthewest.org for scholarship application)

 

Floating through Time

July 25. 9am-3pm. Explore our outdoor geology classroom with Mr. Rich Davis, as we raft down the Shoshone River learning about the stories within the remarkable cliffs and rocks along the shore. 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. Open to students ages 11-15. July 31-August 4: Ages 6-9 (9:00-11:00); Elementary school students can unleash their creative minds during this weeklong art workshop that will focus on analogous colors and textures. Instructor Sarah Shearer will provide opportunities for students to use a variety of media with numerous projects. $35/student $30/member (scholarships available-- for scholarship application please contact Emily Buckles at emilyb@centerofthewest.org).

August 11-12: Ages 15+. Friday 12-5 pm, Saturday 10 am-6 pm. Oglala Sioux craftswoman Jen Runs Close to Lodge returns to Cody to cook traditional Native American foods. Jen will instruct participants the some of the traditions of food and food preparation while they compose a delicious meal. The group will sit down to enjoy their creations at the end of the class. $70/member, $75/non-member. Location TBD.
